Indian Academy of Pediatrics Trivandrum in association with Organization For Rare Diseases India(ORDI) organised a 7000m run for rare disease awareness on 17.3.19 at 6.30 am from medical College ground. It was flagged off by excise commissioner Mr. Rishiraj singh IPS.

Mr. Rishiraj singh spoke on the importance of creating awareness among public about such rare diseases

Dr Sankar also talked about the need to create awareness about rare diseases among public and Dr Anju Deepak spoke on behalf of IAP

. Hundreds of participants from various districts.took part in the 7 km run from MCH . The program was well appreciated by all .Patients with rare diseases and their parents also took part in the program

World kidney day observance -IAP Thiruvananthapuram Kerala

Dept of Pediatric nephrology , SAT trivandrum along with IAP trivandrum , nephro club and NHM organised a walkathon for awareness of kidney diseases and organ transplantation

Almost more than 100 people participated in the event from manaaveeyam veedhi to museum complex .

Awareness classes were taken by Dr noble gracious, Chief nodal officer and nephrologist ,KNOS, Dr Riaz I , former state Secretary IAP Kerala .

Dr Santhosh Kumar , HOD ,SAT ,tvm , Dr Muhammad kunju , former state president IAP Kerala , Dr Sankar VH, Dr AnJU deepak , Dr Vijayakumar , Dr Praveen KS , Dr Siby kurian, Dr suni akbar were some of the main dignitaries who attended the Walkathon .

The program was coordinated by Dr Radhika CR , asst prof, dept of nephrology , SAT under the guidance of Pediatric Nephrology HOD dr Susan uthup .

At 11 am a get together of nephrology patient of SAT , were held at govt medical college tvm .It was presided by Dr Santhosh Kumar , Dr Muhammad kunju, Dr Riaz I , Dr chacko varghese.

A Panel discussion and CME was organised at hotel hyacinth by Nephro club which was attended by Dr Radhika CR on behalf of IAP and also Dr Mithun remesh, pediatric nephrologist SK and GG hospital .
